- Most tools (for example Not Following Back) process data only in your browser and do not upload your files to my servers.

Information you provide
Contact form
If you use the contact form, I receive the name, email address, subject, and message you submit. That content is delivered to me by email (via Resend when that service is configured) so I can reply. I use it only to respond to your inquiry and related follow-up, not for marketing lists.
A honeypot field may be present to discourage bots. Legitimate visitors do not need to interact with it.
Vanish (ephemeral pastebin)
When you create a paste on Vanish, your content is encrypted in the browser before upload. The server stores ciphertext (and related technical fields such as IV and expiry) in Cloudflare KV and cannot read the plaintext. Pastes expire automatically according to the TTL you choose (up to seven days) and may be deleted earlier if you use burn-after-read or delete controls. Do not put secrets in a paste unless you trust the people you share the link and passphrase with.
Not Following Back
The Not Following Back tool runs locally in your browser. Instagram export files you select are not uploaded to my servers for processing.

Hosting and security (Cloudflare)
This site is deployed on Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosts and CDNs, Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address, user agent, referrer, and request timestamps for delivery, security, and reliability. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details.
Cloudflare Turnstile
The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam. Turnstile may collect data needed to distinguish humans from bots. See Cloudflare’s documentation and privacy policy for how that challenge works.

This site uses Google AdSense. The AdSense script loads on every page, so the disclosures below apply site-wide rather than only where an ad is visible.

Some preferences and UI state are stored only in your browser (for example via localStorage), such as theme preference and whether you liked a blog post on this device. That data does not sync to my servers as an account profile.
Cookies
I do not run any analytics product on this site, first-party or third-party. There is no Google Analytics, no page-view counter, and no visitor tracking of my own. Third parties listed above (notably Google AdSense and Cloudflare) may set or read cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect ads or security challenges.
How long data is kept
- Contact messages: kept in my email inbox as long as needed to handle your request and any related conversation.
- Vanish pastes: removed when they expire, are burned, or are deleted, subject to Cloudflare KV’s expiration behavior.
- Local storage: remains until you clear site data in your browser.
Sharing
I do not sell your personal information. I share data only with service providers needed to operate the site (for example email delivery, hosting, spam protection, and advertising), or when required by law.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
- Do not submit information you do not want me to receive via the contact form.
- Clear cookies and site data in your browser to remove local preferences.
- Use Google’s ad settings (linked above) to manage personalized advertising where available.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data I hold about you. That includes the EEA and UK under the GDPR, and California under the CCPA/CPRA. Because the only personal data I hold directly is what you send me through the contact form, most requests are simple to honour.
- Access: ask what personal data I hold about you and get a copy.
- Correction: ask me to fix data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion: ask me to delete your contact messages and any personal data in them.
- Objection and restriction: object to, or ask me to restrict, how I use your data.
- Opt out of personalized ads: use the advertising opt-out links above. I do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
To exercise any of these, email hello@jaamesdaaniel.com and say what you would like me to do. I will respond within 30 days. You will not be charged or treated differently for making a request. For data held by third parties named above (Google, Cloudflare, Resend), you may also need to contact them directly under their own policies. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with my response, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
I may update this policy when the site’s features or providers change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when that happens. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
